From the iSchool of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, in the United States,he received his Ph.D. in Library and Information Science (LIS), Master of Science in LIS, and Bachelor of LIS from Makerere University. Fredrick's work crosses the ideas and concepts pertaining to people, information, and systems, with a focus on various contexts. His research is based on Human Information Behavior (HIB) research. At the moment, he is investigating strategies to make the Lecturer and Librarian partner up to improve student learning. Fredrick was spearheading the Makerere University Library's digitization initiative before coming to Busitema University as the University Librarian. We view Education and Learning as vital at the Busitema University Library and stimulating facets of our library patrons' intellectual lives. Thus, we wholeheartedly concur with the Five Laws of Library Science proposed by S. R. Ranganathan, especially the one that states, "Every reader his [or her] book." Our goal is to assist patrons of our library in discovering theirs. We confidently predict that the Busitema University Library will maintain its status as a "Distinctive Signifier of Excellence'' and continue to gain significance. The Motto for excellence at the Busitema University Library will be "Thinking Globally."
