USG-1: Strengthening Excellence in Education and Student Life
LSG-1: Promote Access to, and Discovery of, Library Content and Collections- Developed and continued to support and sustain digital infrastructure/ systems – 9 systems

LSG-1: Promote Access to, and Discovery of, Library Content and Collections
- Awareness was created and news articles posted on the library website
- A total of 539 students and 31 staff trained on using the online library resources – skilling users on using e-resources
- 25 Library staff trained on how to manage and use library resources
- Information Literacy Policy & IL Workplan developed and ready for presenting at the AA&LC
- 20 Information literacy courses developed on the LMS/ Moodle – Lecturer – Librarian collaborative teaching of courses
- 79 in-ward and out-ward document delivery requests served – from Uganda (Makerere, Ndejje, and UCU), Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, Zambia, China, USA, Canada, UK, and etc
LSG-3: Expand Library Collections
- Subscription to online resources continues – over 30 million e-book titles; and over 25 million online journal titles – all in 156 online databases
- 196 titles of print books procured – Maritime Institute, Pallisa, Arapai, and Mbale
- Newspapers procured as follows:
- 359 New vision, Saturday & Sunday Vision procured
- 364 Daily, Saturday & Sunday Monitor procured
- 178 Red Pepper, Saturday & Sunday Pepper procured
- 51 East African Newspapers procured
- 201 Volumes of Newspapers are being bound

- Continued development of a digital infrastructure to support the library functions as presented in USG-1, under LSG-1
- Winning grants to support library programmes and services
- Engineering Information Foundation – Disciplinary-based Information Literacy
- Work Readiness Program (WRP) – Private Sector Foundation of Uganda (PSFU)

- Membership renewed for all the professional organizations – fees paid - CUUL, IFLA, IASSIST-Africa Chapter, ULIA, ALA, ACRL

LSG-6: Build a Robust Assessment Programme
- Framework for Strategic Action, January 2021 - June 2024 developed and available on the library website https://library.busitema.ac.ug/about/strategic-plan - to be published in a book
- Library Structure was developed – new structure approved by Ministry of Public Service – yet to be operationalized
- Performance and evaluation tools: Performance agreements, workplans, worksheets, attendance registry implemented – administrative supervisory tools implemented
- Ugx 31,680,000 funding secured to boost salaries of the Graduate Fellows – 14 Graduates Fellows and there pay improved to a gross of Ugx 1,000,000 from Ugx 400,000
- Capacity development for Librarians: 4 online short courses attended by librarians on cataloguing, reference services, acquisitions, and collection management, and the Open Science Symposium
