Library User Stories is a storytelling initiative created to highlight the real experiences of students and other members of the Busitema University community as they use the library. The project gives a voice to our users by allowing them to share how the library supports their learning, research, and personal growth.
Through a short video interview, Nyawere Hedwig speaks openly about:

Nyawere Hedwig takes us through her library usage experience.
My name is Nyawere Hedwig a student at Busitema University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
How often do you use the Busitema University Library and for what purpose?
I use the library roughly on a day that I'm not busy I basically spend much of my time like 90% of the time during the day in the library and specifically for research and personal reading.
What do you like most about the library?
I like the fact that the internet services and also the E learning books are a little bit easier to use than the old books from the shelves.
Can you share a memorable experience you have had in the library?
Most of the times when we read from the library because it is comfortable, it is very easy for me to pass the coursework, the tests and the final exams while maybe if I read from other places outside the library there are a lot of distractions that do not make excel to the best of my ability
How has the library supported your academic or research work?
It has supported it by providing the free WIFI that can be accessed anytime so long as you are within the library premises.
Which Library service or resource do you find most useful?
The E learning books because they contain most of the work that actually the teachers may not be able to give but you can go there and improve on your understanding by reading them.
Has the digital library or online resources helped you in any way?
In the digital library, that is where I am able to access the E learning books that I have been just talking about.
If you could suggest one improvement, what would it be?
The improvements I would suggest would maybe if they get other routers because at certain points you find that the internet is slow just because I think most of the students are being connected to the same router so that also delays the research if maybe you are getting things online they delay to download or even upload for you to be able to read them. Maybe to also talk to students who don't actually use the library, you go and tell them what they are missing, you would sensitize them because I don't believe everyone reads from here maybe because of one reason or another or they don't come here because they do not know exactly what is in the library.
Why do think every student should use the library?
Because it is a very comfortable place for one to read. When you are here you really have maximum concentration, few disruptions.
