Library User Stories is a storytelling initiative created to highlight the real experiences of students and other members of the Busitema University community as they use the library. This project gives a voice to our users by allowing them to share how the library supports their learning, research, and personal growth.
Through a short video interview, Izimba Enock speaks openly about:

My name is Izimba Enock, a student of Busitema University doing a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, I am in year 1.
How often do you use the Busitema University Library and for what purpose?
I often come to the library like like five days a week. I normally come to do research, reading, because of the conducive environment of the library.
What do you like most about the library?
Yeah what I like about the library is the environment itself, it's quiet, it has nice reading structures, like it is so detailed and that is what I love about it.
Can you share a memorable experience you have had in the library?
The memorable experience I have had about the Busitema library is that it is so conducive to an extent that it is well circulated whereby you can't get a bad mood of reading. It has the nice environment, you can read, that's the memorable thing I have had about the library.
How has the library supported your academic or research work?
First of all the library is well connected on the internet. It enhances my research when I'm trying to read about the academic affairs, It has the discussion rooms where I can come with my friends and we try to discuss about some matters concerning academics and actually I have done most of my discussions in the library here.
Which library service or resource do you find most useful?
The E-learning section. Personally I'm not a person who understands everything in class but the E-learning section has helped me to carry out more research. Probably I use Youtube most times to help me understand the concepts I don't get.
Has the digital library or online resources helped you in any way?
The digital library has helped me in a way that I learn the theory part in class and the reading. but when I use the digital library, there is a way it practically helps me to understand a lot of things.
If you could suggest one improvement, what would it be?
One improvement I would talk about the Busitema library is maybe the upper section on the right side is it sometimes heats up, it is too hot. Maybe I could suggest that they can improvise and put more ACs in the library. That is the only improvement I can talk about.
Why do think every student should use the library?
I would say the people who are not using the library are missing a lot because the library has a lot of things you can read by yourself and understand even if you don't get everything in class. The library helps you to enhance and expand your memory in a way that you can get a lot of things in the library. The E learning, the digital learning and the books inside the library will help you expand your reading capacity and you grasp everything.
