My name is Ssebakijje Hosea a student from Busitema University, Busitema campus. I'm in Year 2 pursing Agricultural Mechanization and Irrigation Engineering.

How often do you use the Busitema University Library and for what purpose?

Actually I use the library often, at least everyday and I use it for personal research and doing coursework that the lecturers have given because it provides a convenient environment that allows me to concentrate as I'm reading.

What do you like most about the library?

Actually I like some spots in the library for example the E-learning center that has the best internet in the library. I like the staff that interact with us very well from the receptionist on the information desk. They are ready to receive any questions about the library. You can ask the librarian anything that you want to know about the library and they can give you help from even borrowing books so everything is ok so far.

Can you share a memorable experience you have had in the library?

A memorable experience I had is I was in year 1 and I had to come and pick a book. I thought it was so hard but then I first visited the Library website, checked the library books that are available and then I added cart. When I showed them the serial number of the book, it was so simple that they just took me to where the book is, I picked it, signed the days I have to bring it back, then they gave me the book. So that is my memorable experience in the library.

How has the library supported your academic or research work?

The library is very equipped with different books that we have not even used but you know the new generation, we are using a lot of AI and social media to learn so it has provided good internet as I have said before. It is good, it has helped us so much.

Which library service or resource do you find most useful?

These are the discussion rooms, the E-Learning center plus the reading area where we can get the Newspapers from and we are updated on what is happening in our country.

Has the digital library or online resources helped you in any way?

I've not personally used the digital library so much because I can access the library physically but it is good because I used t once as I told you in my memorable experience that I tried to check out some books and the books are available there.

If you could suggest one improvement, what would it be?

Some of the improvements the library needs to have, we have the discussion rooms and they are lacking whiteboards, they are lacking whiteboard markers and the improvement they may need to work on when the new intake of students come, is the space will not be enough for the students. Then pushing some time for revision of students because they have a specific time they close since this is a public university. At least they would push the closing time to 11:30 in the evening. The arrival time is ok and even the weekends, to start using the weekends.

Why do think every student should use the library?

By virtue that you are a student of Busitema University, it is incumbent that you must use the library because it is very resourceful and I don't know if you are not using the library what you're using. It is so resourceful and it provides a convenient environment to pursue your excellence.
