Library User Stories is a storytelling initiative created to highlight the real experiences of students and other members of the Busitema University community as they use the library. The project gives a voice to our users by allowing them to share how the library supports their learning, research, and personal growth.
Through a short video interview, George Felix Eligu speaks openly about:

Eligu, speaks about the comfortable reading spaces the library provides among other aspects from his experiences with the Busitema University Library.
I'm called George Felix Eligu a year 1 Computer Engineering student at Busitema University Main campus.
How often do you use the Busitema University Library and for what purpose?
I almost use this library on a daily basis for my personal research and my own revision due to its convenient environment and that is the comfort I get when I'm inside it.
What do you like most about the library?
What I like about it is the display, like when I enter inside it, I just get the comfort, like that conducive environment for reading and being someone who has ever entered other libraries this one gives me a different flavour.
Can you share a memorable experience you have had in the library?
The memorable experience I can share that I ever got from this library is there is a lot of room for everyone to adjust and if at all you have any inquiries about the library, the attendants are always available to attend to you at any time. I think the special bit is what I have already told you, it is the conduciveness which I always get when I enter here, it is a the special thing that I get from this library.
How has the library supported your academic or research work?
It has supported me in a way that it has enough books, text books, research books, physically if I want I can come and pick them from the shelves and do my own research or I can also do it on the E-learning platform.
Which library service or resource do you find most useful?
The library service which I always find most useful is the reading space that the library always provides.
Has the digital library or online resources helped you in any way?
It has helped me in a way that when I'm at my hostel because I'm a non resident I can decide to log in and access the books that are provided by the library instead of coming to campus.
If you could suggest one improvement, what would it be?
There are some books that we can find in the library but they kinda look outdated like there is some book of electronics by Neuman but then you find the edition is an old one and yet there is a new updated edition so maybe the library should try updating some other editions for the text books.
Why do think every student should use the library?
I think every student should use this library because it has every resource that one needs to achieve their academic excellence. The resources are there, the comfortable space, the comfort is there so like any other student who want to pass, I think they should use this library.
