IGI Global Enhances Accessibility and Expands Digital Resources for Researchers
Busitema University staff and students can now benefit from improved accessibility and navigation features on the IGI Global Scientific Publishing content platform.
IGI Global Scientific Publishing has updated its platform to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The update is intended to make it easier for users to navigate the platform, locate scholarly materials and interact with digital content.
The improvements support clearer navigation, better usability and more inclusive access for students, lecturers, researchers and other users, including people who use assistive technologies. The changes also strengthen the platform’s alignment with internationally recognised accessibility standards.
Through the platform, users can access the IGI Global Scientific Publishing e-Book Collection, which now includes more than 11,500 e-books and over 220,000 book chapters. The collection covers a wide range of disciplines, including business and management, science, technology, medicine, education and the social sciences.
The platform also provides access to nearly 200 Open Access journals. These resources can support teaching, learning, research, professional development and interdisciplinary scholarship across the University.
Staff and students are encouraged to explore the IGI Global e-Book Collection and take advantage of the improved search, navigation and accessibility features.
