Hello, I'm Kakooza Ian Maurice, a student of Busitema University, Busitema Campus. I'm pursuing a Bachelor's in Agricultural Mechanization and Irrigation Engineering and I'm in my year 2.

How often do you use the Busitema University Library and for what purpose?

It depends on the timing, for normal days at the beginning of the semester I can use the library at least 3 days a week then during the examination time or prior to the examination time I can use the library everyday. I use the library for my self studying, revising, research, and then also group discussions.

What do you like most about the library?

I like the resources in the library from the E-resources, the books. I also like the environment, the silence, and then also the discussion rooms cause they are very good for discussions.

Can you share a memorable experience you have had in the library?

There is that time when I was in year 1, I came to the library and I didn't know how to use it well and then I was kind of scared but it 2was just a matter of talking to staff to show me where the discussion rooms were and yeah, I really liked the experience.

How has the library supported your academic or research work?

Actually the library has really supported my academics in a way that it is a place that has contributed to most of my academic grades, reason being, It is a place where I come, relax, read and my concentration levels are high compared to other places around campus and my place of residence.

Which library service or resource do you find most useful?

The best best resources in the library, I'll talk of the digital library because I can access the books and everything online, everywhere, anytime and then secondly I'll talk of the discussion rooms cause they are really good. You go there, discuss with your friends and you get out of the library when you have really gained what you have been looking for.

Has the digital library or online resources helped you in any way?

The digital library like I said, it's actually one of my best resources because I can access information anywhere and conveniently so it has really helped my studies.

If you could suggest one improvement, what would it be?

For the improvements I'll talk of extensions in time. For example, during the serious time of examinations, they should maybe extending closing time of the library from 11 pm to maybe Midnight for just the case of examinations and then for the weekends they should from 6 pm to maybe 8 pm. That would be a very good improvement.

Why do think every student should use the library?

Every student should make good use of the library because the library has a lot of useful resources. Talk of the books, talk of the internet it is very good, talk of the digital library where you can access any information from anywhere and then the physical library is also so convenient for reading. The concentration levels are very high in the library because of the silence and the environment and then with the AC, you can read for longer hours in the library compared to other places.

Describing the library in 3 words I would say the library is my best place at campus.
