Library User Stories is a storytelling initiative created to highlight the real experiences of students and other members of the Busitema University community as they use the library. This project gives a voice to our users by allowing them to share how the library supports their learning, research, and personal growth.

Kibet Caleb, a Computer Engineering student from Busitema University shares his experience with the Busitema University Library.
My name is Kibet Caleb, I'm doing Bachelor's of Computer Engineering Busitema University, year 1.
How often do you use the Busitema University Library and for what purpose?
Basically, I often use this library in a week I'm always here from Monday to Friday then maybe weekends I be off but basically I'm in the library for all the week days.
What do you like most about the library?
This library is more convenient and it is a conducive environment for learning. Personally, I love research and this is one of the best places I've realized that is giving me what I expect.
Can you share a memorable experience you have had in the library?
For the past 3 months, I think I've had a positive impact from this place cause currently I'm improving in all I expected based on my opinions within what I had planned I've come to fulfill them in the small period I've been in this library.
How has the library supported your academic or research work?
The library has paved a way that I'm seeing success on my journey cause what I'm doing day by day is making me improve in my career and also in all the research work I'm doing, I am actually learning. This library is building up my confidence, building my efforts through the resources I obtain.
Which library service or resource do you find most useful?
Basically it is the physical learning because most of my time I'm in the library. As per now, I haven't interacted with most of them but at least I have signed into one of them, the accounts on LMS portal and I have secured some of the books that I have been reading.
If you could suggest one improvement, what would it be?
I would suggest that they would put some wooden curtains to decrease some light during the hot days, that is all I can say because when it comes to sunny seasons, there is too much sunshine reflected in through the window side. I would think also in the case of online the network bandwidth should be adjusted to cater also for someone who is within the campus.
Why do think every student should use the library?
I think it is good for the purpose of academics and for someone aiming at his goal, he should utilize this library because of the valuable resources and make use of it successfully.
