Library User Stories is a storytelling initiative created to highlight the real experiences of students and other members of the Busitema University community as they use the library. The project gives a voice to our users by allowing them to share how the library supports their learning, research, and personal growth.

Yeesa Judith, doing a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering from Busitema University shares her experience from the usage of the Busitema University Library.
I'm Yeesa Judith doing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. I am a student at Busitema, Main Campus.
How often do you use the Busitema University Library and for what purpose?
I always use the library and basically I come to the library for my personal revision and also discussions and also internet because it is always stable.
What do you like most about the library?
The library is so convenient because it is so quiet that if you want to read you really concentrate and if you want to discuss, there are rooms for discussions and you can easily do it conveniently.
Can you share a memorable experience you have had in the library?
I've met many people in the library because when you're out there, you can't access everyone but most of them are here in the library so I can easily interact with many from various departments. I've ever met a colleague like an OG from my previous school and I met her here in the library.
How has the Library supported your academic or research work?
The library has supported me very well because there is good internet here so I come in, I do research and I can also get textbooks if I need one and I do my own consumption.
Which library service or resource do you find most useful?
The internet because it is what I use most when reading like making more research.
Has the digital library or online resources helped you in any way?
I have not yet interacted with the digital library. I have not yet interacted with the digital library because I'm not yet familiar with the app.
If you could suggest one improvement, what would it be?
I would suggest some improvements in the discussion rooms because sometimes we are very many but there are no white boards so if they would at least put for us white boards in those discussion rooms they would help because if somebody is discussing and is not writing somewhere and you are all fixed on one table, it becomes challenging.
Why do you think every student should use the library?
There are very many resources that we get from the library, so I would encourage many students to join the library because if you want to discuss, there are discussion rooms, if you want clear internet, it is there in the library, if you want textbooks, they are always available, so I would encourage many to come and use the library.
