A thorough Library orientation program designed specifically for first-year Undergraduates marked the beginning of the Academic year for the Busitema University Faculty of Science and Education (FSE). Mr. Omalla Wilberforce led a solemn prayer to begin the program, which was designed to acquaint students with the procedures and resources of the University library. The orientation turned out to be a crucial first step in introducing students to the resources available to them for their Academic work.

The program's facilitator, Mr. Mukungu Isaac, assumed the initiative to oversee the orientation's communication and registration processes. The orientation covered online resources to give students the tools they need to use the FSE Library website and the Busitema University Library website in this digital age. A useful tutorial on using the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) for rapid and simple resource retrieval was part of the program.
